WHO WE ARE

Empowering individuals in requirement, for over 16 years:

KORT is a charity focused on delivering sustainable options that empower those in requirement with both sincerity and openness.

KORT is a UK-based global relief and advancement charity developed in 2005. Influenced by the Islamic teachings of empathy, generosity and altruism, the trust intends to relieve hardship and suffering across the Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

The rights of those who are overlooked and oppressed are satisfied by offering sustainable development solutions relating to shelter, education, health, and spiritual wellness.

THIS IS ACHIEVED BY:

  • Supplying emergency relief, such as food and medical help, to victims of conflict and natural disasters.
  • Supplying safe and clean water by building tube wells and hand pumps and water filtration plants to needy areas.
  • Sponsoring orphans and widows and guaranteeing their rights are satisfied.
  • Rebuilding and maintaining homes, schools, orphanages, and mosques.
  • Establishing medical and rehab centres, particularly for the treatment of women and children.
  • Carrying out earnings generation projects to assist victims break their dependence on hand-outs.

HONESTY AND TRANSPARENCY

KORT Islamic Charity works under the guidance of scholars who make sure that the charity’s role as a trustee is always satisfied. Knowing that we are all eventually responsible to the Almighty, the charity aims to preserve openness and accountability.

All donated funds are kept track of and examined by scholars who ensure Zakat, Sadaqah and Lillah funds are invested properly.

The charity also has a full and transparent audit path from the donor to the recipient.

Note: KORT does not do door-to-door collections. The charity recommends anybody who receives collectors at their door, claiming to represent this charity, not to offer anything and to inform KORT instantly.

Please also keep in mind that KORT always releases an invoice for a contribution. Please constantly ask for a receipt if you hand over any cash to an agent, authorities or otherwise, of KORT.
