The situation of unemployment and poverty affects women the worst. They rely on men for everything and anything, because they have no source of income. This problem is exacerbated if the men are unemployed as well. Through vocational training, women can start their own businesses or enter the workforce, enabling women to become independent and self-reliant. KORT has established a Sewing Training Centre to help empower women. Women will become more independent and confident at KORT’s Sewing Training Center. For as long as mankind exists, sewing garments will be a job. Further, women can earn an income from home using basic tailoring skills, continuing in their traditional role as homemakers while working. Women who complete a course in tailoring can start working on their projects right away.
