11TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEADLY 2005 KASHMIR EARTHQUAKE

08 October 2016 marked 11 years since the tragic earthquake of 2005 which claimed thousands of lives all over Azad Kashmir. KORT held an annual rally in Mirpur to remember and pray for those who lost their lives.

It was also 11 years since KORT was established to provide hope for orphans who had lost everything during the devastating earthquake.

In the evening our children hosted a memorial ceremony at KORT which was attended by hundreds of locals and government officials including the IG of police. Guests were left emotional as some children shared their stories about how they lost everything during the Earthquake.
