The month of Rabi ul Awal 2021 is expected to start on Thursday, October 7, 2021 or Friday, October 8, 2021 and 12th Rabi ul Awal 2021 or Eid Milad un Nabi 2021 will tentatively be observed on 18th or 19th of October, 2021. However, exact date of Rabi ul Awal 2021 depends on your location and sighting of the Moon of Rabi ul Awal.
“And We have sent you (O Muhammad S.A.W.) not but as a mercy for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).” (Surah Anbiya 21:107)
Rabi-ul-Awwal is the third month of the Islamic calendar. This is the blessed month of human history in which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. Rabi-Ul-Awwal is an important festival in Islam and the Muslim Ummah is honoured with the birth of Mohammad (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) in the third month of the Islamic calendar on this day. Almost all mosques, house and businesses display green colour pennants because it is the colour the Prophet (SAWW) liked the most. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is believed to have chosen the green colour for the Islam flag at that time.
“Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad S.A.W.) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much.” (Surah Ahzab 33:21)
The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us important traits such as tolerance, generosity, love, forgiveness, and peace through the practices he modeled. The way he lived was a true reflection of what Islam stood for. On Rabi Ul Awwal, a public holiday is declared (In Muslim Countries) every year, thus the offices are closed and marches and rallies throughout the country take place. In all Muslim countries, Eid Milad al-Nabi celebrations take place, but the celebration varies according to location. There are three main different ways to celebrate the holy prophet SAW.
