The situation of unemployment and poverty affects women the worst. They rely on men for everything and anything, because they have no source of income. This problem is exacerbated if the men are unemployed as well. Through vocational training, women can start their own businesses or enter the workforce, enabling women to become independent and self-reliant. KORT has established a Sewing Training Centre to help empower women. Women will become more independent and confident at KORT’s Sewing Training Center. For as long as mankind exists, sewing garments will be a job. Further, women can earn an income from home using basic tailoring skills, continuing in their traditional role as homemakers while working. Women who complete a course in tailoring can start working on their projects right away.
Thanks to Allah, KORT has established a Sewing and Stitching Training Center in Sector F/ 4 Mirpur as a part of its project “Women Empowerment.” Our mission is to provide a livelihood to underprivileged and disadvantaged women from Mirpur and its surroundings. In the process of taking orders from different brands, income is generated. KORT’s sewing and Stitching Training Centre was inaugurated by Collector Mangla Dam Affairs Chaudry Muhammed Ayub and Manager KORT Sajid Dilawar Khan.
A ceremony was held under the auspices of the KORT to inaugurate the KORT Sewing and Training Centre in Mirpur District. Now this centre will provide training to unemployed women and girls so they can use their skills and abilities in order to meet their domestic needs and earn a living. Hopefully, the KORT Sewing Centre can become one of the most well-known sewing centres for women. Getting training it will help you get a job and earn a reliable source of income.
