It is not often that you see Prime Ministers pledge their support for NGO’s and charities, yet KORT was honoured to host the Prime Minister of AJK, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, who came to see for himself how KORT is changing the lives of Orphan children.
The Prime Minister was amazed by the endeavour of KORT and was touched by hearing the orphan children describe how they lost their parents and how they were abandoned by society prior to joining KORT.
Ch Mohammed Akhtar, the founder and chairman of KORT also described his journey to KORT and shared his future plans for a KORT University. Impressed by the work of KORT, the Prime Minister also pledged his support for KORT and promised to give as much land as needed to build the KORT University.
It was also a great honour to have the Prime Minister lay the foundation stone for the Boys Hostel which will accommodate up to 500 orphan boys once complete.
