Rabi-ul-Awwal is the third month of the Islamic calendar. This is the blessed month of human history in which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born. Rabi-Ul-Awwal is an important festival in Islam and the Muslim Ummah is honoured with the birth of Mohammad (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) in the third month of the Islamic calendar on this day. Almost all mosques, house and businesses display green colour pennants because it is the colour the Prophet (SAWW) liked the most. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is believed to have chosen the green colour for the Islam flag at that time.
The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us important traits such as tolerance, generosity, love, forgiveness, and peace through the practices he modeled. The way he lived was a true reflection of what Islam stood for. On Rabi Ul Awwal, a public holiday is declared (In Muslim Countries) every year, thus the offices are closed and marches and rallies throughout the country take place. In all Muslim countries, Eid Milad al-Nabi celebrations take place, but the celebration varies according to location. There are three main different ways to celebrate the holy prophet SAW.
We should spend our wealth for the sake of Allah as a means of expressing our gratitude towards Him and preparing for the Hereafter. It is considered great charity in Islam to give a drop of water. Our holy Prophet (saw) loved a few projects, which you can support in order to earn as many blessings as possible.
Many of us hold events at home in Rabi Ul Awal to celebrate the Birth of the Best of Creation. But imagine celebrating this blessed festive month in the best way possible by celebrating it with what was most dear to the Prophet Of Allah, Orphans! It costs KORT on average £275 to feed 400 Orphans each meal. Why not donate that to KORT and celebrate with the innocent children of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan.
A wonderful and important type of charity is to provide funds for orphans. You will receive a huge reward from Allah for doing this.
Islam gives a great deal of importance to donating water. The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, ‘Which charity is best?’ He replied, ‘(Providing) water’. [Abu Dawud]

Think Of a life of being limited to your room, reliant on others to move you even short distances?
Your donation will bring the happiness and pleasure of mobility and freedom to disabled and elderly people, by providing them with a wheelchair. This will be a form of Sadqah Jaariya.
Islam is not a confined religion, it is a religion of freedom, of humanity. It gives us freedom. If there is someone more in need of help, please consider donating to them.
Thus, the best way to celebrate the blessed Month of Rabi-ul-Awwal is by fasting Sunnah days, increasing your salutations to the Prophet (saw), and giving charity. You can build these Sunnah habits as soon as possible. Identify your strengths and weaknesses and set goals for yourself!
