Laylat ul-Qadr, or the Night of Power, is one of the most sacred nights in Islam. Muslims believe the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on this night. The Quran describes it as "better than a thousand months" (Quran 97:3), highlighting its immense value.
During this night, Muslims seek forgiveness, pray, and reflect. At Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT), we also use this time to pray for the orphans we support. Their well-being remains at the heart of our mission.
The exact date of Laylat ul-Qadr is unknown, but it likely falls in the last ten nights of Ramadan. Many focus on the odd-numbered nights, especially the 27th night. This uncertainty encourages believers to increase their worship throughout the final ten nights.
At KORT, we urge our supporters to dedicate these nights to praying for the orphans in Kashmir. Your prayers can bring hope and comfort to their lives.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught a special dua for this night:
"O Allah, You are the Pardoner, and You love to pardon, so pardon me."
This dua reflects the spirit of Laylat ul-Qadr—seeking forgiveness and mercy. At KORT, we also pray for the orphans, asking Allah to grant them a brighter future.
Laylat ul-Qadr transforms lives. It strengthens faith, fosters humility, and inspires gratitude. For believers, it is a time to reconnect with Allah and renew their purpose.
At KORT, this night reminds us of our duty to care for the vulnerable. The orphans of Kashmir depend on our support. Together, we can make a lasting difference in their lives.
Laylat ul-Qadr is a divine gift. It offers spiritual growth, forgiveness, and endless blessings. As Ramadan ends, let us seize this opportunity to pray, give, and reflect.
At Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT), we invite you to join us in supporting the orphans of Kashmir. Your prayers and donations can bring hope and healing to their lives. Together, we can ensure they receive the care and opportunities they deserve.
May this Night of Power bring peace, blessings, and enlightenment to all. Ameen.
