Children are gifts of Allah. No doubt Allah has given us children as priceless treasures. Every child is a unique being, deserving fair respect, and dignity, and this is part of the reason why we as Muslims hold life sacred. We should treat our children well, provide them with quality care, and give them the chance to thrive. Allah sees all children as precious in his eyes and deserves for them to be loved, nurtured, and honoured with quality care, which improves the chances of them developing fully. The Islamic faith emphasizes the necessity for children to be treated with respect. Our last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) once said:
احترموا اولادكم وامنحوهم تدريبا جيدا ليجازكم الله خير.
"Respect your children and train them well so that Allah will reward you."
A man’s responsibility to his children is one of the most important responsibilities that Allah gives to him. Parents have the responsibility to teach their children how to be good human beings by providing them with a good upbringing. In Islam, dealing with children is a wise thing to do. According to the Quran and the Sunnah, children should be treated like the following:
Never Speak in Anger
A child is a blessing from Allah. they are very innocent and lovely. In Islam Speaking in anger to children is forbidden. Always be kind to children and Never Speak in Anger. The Holy Quran and hadiths warn against speaking in anger with children. Parents have the responsibility to cherish, raise, and protect the children, as the Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon him, taught.
Treat With Love, Respect, and Patience
As kids are the mercy of Allah towards us therefore Islam taught us to treat children with love respect and patience. our holy prophet SAW also treats children with love and patience that’s why we should follow our holy prophet when treating children and keep fear of Allah in our heart about their fundamental rights. once The Prophet (SAW) carried Hasan (R.A) on his shoulder and said:
"يا الله! أنا أحبه ، لذا من فضلك أحبه "
“O Allah! I love him, so please love him.” (Bukhari)
Take care of their Rights
It is the responsibility of parents to know about the rights of children and to keep them in mind so that they can protect their children, their race, and themselves from the hellfire. It is possible for parents to make their children good Muslims if they are good Muslims themselves. Islam teaches s to avail children’s primary rights so they live a good life and become good Muslims.
Treat with Equality
Equality is very important in Islam in the case of children it becomes most important. The preference of one child over another is not appropriate. Both males and females are considered equally valuable in Islam. Parents have certain responsibilities to their children; this includes housing, feeding, clothing, educating, supporting, and nurturing them.
"اتقوا الله وانصفوا أولادكم".
“Fear Allah and treat your children fairly (with equal justice).” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
It is our duty as Muslims to show love, sympathy, and patience toward our children. At KORT we treat all our children with love and affection and Inn Shaa Allah will continue to do this until the day of Qiyama. Come today and commit to treating children with respect and acting with Islam’s teachings.
